About Me

Facilitator of compassionate, open communication
Connector to diverse ideas, viewpoints, and mindful choices
of cacao, sustainability and conscious consumption

Welcome to CacaoforaCause! I started this blog while taking a “Social Web for Social Change”  class at Bainbridge Graduate Institute, where I received my MBA in Sustainable Business in June 2012.

My mission is to facilitate sustainable living through a multicultural lens, with the view to connect, collaborate, and maintain curiosity. My chosen topic is chocolate, a food which inspires, amazes, and gratifies me, on a daily basis.

Through this blog, I’m passionate about enrolling others to learn about and appreciate the value of fine chocolate and its importance to the world. There are many challenges within the cocoa industry, to include ethical sourcing, supply chain transparency, certifications, environmental practices, and meeting growing demand. There are also, to my delight, dozens of bean to bar producers, especially in the U.S., who are starting to make their own artisan bars, while maintaining direct relationships with cocoa farmers.

I look forward to interacting with my readers and hope to engage in energetic discussions in relation to my posts. Please connect with me and send any thoughts, concerns and feedback you may have.
